STR Residents are embedded in K–5 classrooms, teaching and supporting students while completing their Master’s in Teaching. This hands-on residency model prepares Residents for the realities of the classroom by combining graduate coursework with daily, in-school experience.

Graduates earn their Masters In Teaching Degree from the University of Washington College of Education and become a teacher of record receiving a Washington State Teaching Certificate and Endorsements.
