Statement on Passing of the Families, Education, Preschool, and Promise (FEPP) 2025 Levy

The Alliance for Education is deeply grateful to Seattle voters for once again showing up for our students, families, and educators at the polls with their strong approval renewing the Families, Education, Preschool, and Promise (FEPP) Levy. This decision affirms that Seattle is a city that votes according to its values. With a 76% majority Tuesday evening, we heard loud and clear that our community values a strong public education system, values opportunities for young people, and values the future of our city.

The renewal of the levy demonstrates that as a community we can do big things for students when we come together with an affirmative and equitable vision for public education. It’s what an overwhelming majority of parents and educators want, and it’s at the core of our mission at the Alliance to reimagine systems to best serve all our students.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to our City of Seattle partners who thoughtfully steward these public funds and to the Mayor’s Office for their vision of a city where all young people have access to meaningful opportunities to learn, grow and thrive.

The renewal and expansion of the FEPP Levy is a powerful way for us to put those values into action, ensuring needed continued investment in Seattle’s classrooms.
